Joint edge preparation
The edge preparation is very essential for good quality welding. In this consists of cutting the edges of the places to be joint by welded in suitable shapes and proper cleanness must required. Which is free from dust, soil, oil, grease and other external harmful particle. According to the method of cutting the edges are face to face, single ‘V’, double ‘V’, single ‘U’, double ‘U’, single bevel, double bevel, single ‘J’, double ‘J’.
When face to face or plain face to be welded which is allow only up-to 5mm thickness of plate.

Arc welding
Resistance welding
Solid state welding
